the designers of a user interface get the behavior they deisgn for. Today, I will use dozens of UI’s all designed against my interests. That’s bad, of course. The right strategy is actully for me to pay for a virtual assistant software that goes out and deals with the manipulative UI on my behalf. A bit like sending in the robot after a reactor meltdown... it’s no place for a human to be. I have written an article queued up to discuss this in Medium in a couple of weeks.
